RDA16110SW

The RDA16110SW is a two-channels fully integrated direct-convertion RF front end for DVB-S2 application.

There have two channels integrated in RDA16110SW, each channel can be separately controlled trough the I2C bus. With the RF switches, the two RF input signals can be switched between each other after setting the different switching modes. Two Tuners enable two tuners switched into one antenna disc at the same time.

The receiving frequency range is from 900MHz to 2200MHz, and the baseband filter’s bandwidth can be selected from 4MHz to 40MHz with 1MHz step.

RDA16110SW has been designed win and mass produce with STB/TV key players globally.

Product Overview:

The RDA16110SW is a highly integrated, two-channel direct-conversion RF front-end IC, designed for DVB-S2 applications. Each channel is independently controlled through an I2C bus, providing flexibility in signal processing. The RDA16110SW features RF switches that allow two RF input signals to be switched between each other based on different switching modes. With its dual tuners, the RDA16110SW enables simultaneous use of two tuners with a single antenna, ideal for advanced digital satellite reception systems.

Block Diagram Description:

The block diagram of the RDA16110SW consists of several key sections for processing DVB-S2 satellite signals:

  1. Dual RF Inputs: The two RF input signals are fed into separate channels, each channel containing an RF switch.
  2. RF Switches: The RF switches allow dynamic switching between the two input signals, controlled via the I2C interface.
  3. LNA (Low Noise Amplifier): Each channel has an LNA to boost the signal for optimal reception.
  4. Frequency Conversion: The signals undergo downconversion via the quadrature mixer, with the local oscillator and VCO to generate intermediate frequencies.
  5. Baseband Filter: Filters the baseband signal to the required bandwidth.
  6. Output Amplifiers: Amplifies the filtered signal to drive an external ADC or signal processing module.
